Head of the Network of Industrial and Mines Associations stated that it will be possible for the exploration industry in Iran to develop itself - if the ground becomes ready for the private sector to enter this field. In an interview that took place with Mr. Bijan Panahi Zadeh, at the Reporters' Club, he stated that the volume of minerals extracted from the mines in Iran will increase significantly and great amount of saving in currencies will be realized - if the private sector takes more active role in the exploration activities.
He added that mine exploration activities are always accompanied with great risks and in order to encourage the private sector to enter into this field, the government must make the environment economically secure for them.
Panahi Zadeh stated that insuring exploration activities, providing financial resources, providing geological data to the private sector are among the measures that can be taken to enhance the presence of the private sector in this industry.
The head of the Network of Industrial and Mines Associations stipulated that the revenues derived from the mine industry is the best replacement from the revenues derived from the oil industry in Iran and investment in this field will have significant yields for the country.
